Review: Falling For You by Lisa Schroeder

Title: Falling For You

Summary (from Goodreads)

Rae's always dreamed of dating a guy like Nathan. He's nothing like her abusive stepfather--in other words, he's sweet. But the closer they get, the more Nathan wants of her time, of her love, of her...and the less she wants to give.

As Rae's affection for Nathan turns to fear, she leans of her friend Leo for support. With Leo, she feels lighter, happier. And possessive Nathan becomes jealous.

Then a tragedy lands Rae in the ICU. Now, hovering between life and death, Rae must find the light amid the darkness... and the strength to fight for life and the love she deserves.

Yet again, I felt, was false advertising. When you read this summary, what do you think of? Well, I don't know what you thought, but I believe a lot of readers though what I thought. I thought we would get an abusive boyfriend who makes Rae turn to Leo, a funny, sweet guy. But, being an abusive AND jealous boyfriend, Nathan would do something to land her in the hospital.

This will sound really messed up, but I wanted to read about that. It fascinates me, and I kind of wanted to see her reactions and thoughts, and what happened.

I won't say why I'm disappointed, but I was rather disappointed in this book. Leo AND Nathan did nothing for me, I didn't really like the story, and I just don't like contemporary in general.

But for those contemporary lovers out there, check this one out! I think it's actually a pretty decent one :)
Thanks for stopping by!
