The Fairies Say: Amazing psychological thriller!

Summary from Goodreads.com
It was supposed to be the weekend of their lives—an exclusive house party on Henry Island. Best friends Meg and Minnie each have their reasons for being there (which involve T.J., the school’s most eligible bachelor) and look forward to three glorious days of boys, booze and fun-filled luxury.

But what they expect is definitely not what they get, and what starts out as fun turns dark and twisted after the discovery of a DVD with a sinister message: Vengeance is mine.

Suddenly people are dying, and with a storm raging, the teens are cut off from the outside world. No electricity, no phones, no internet, and a ferry that isn’t scheduled to return for two days. As the deaths become more violent and the teens turn on each other, can Meg find the killer before more people die? Or is the killer closer to her than she could ever imagine?

Normally I steer clear of anything scary, but I figured if I was too chicken to go to a haunted house or watch any scary movies, I could at least read this horror book that everyone was raving about. It was full of suspense, romance, and a fair share of killing.

I loved it.

After I peed my pants.

Just kidding, but it was scary and I liked it! *proud* This book was amazing for a horror story and kept me hanging. I couldn't stop reading because I was dying what was going to happen next. And I read it at 12 at night! While the rest of my house was asleep. It was driving me insane and so intense, I loved it! The setting, the characters, the suspense, the...EVERYTHING.

The beginning started out slow but the book quickly picked up with the drama and ermagawsh I don't even know where to start. The setting was awesome...island only reachable on ferry? I think yes! This book kept you guessing about what would happen next and it was so intense! I loved how the characters are so diverse and how everything falls into place...oh my sweet goodness I could go on all day about the plot and characters. I loved how it became a psychological thriller and drove you crazy.

I had a mixed opinion on the characters. I liked Meg and that she was a sensible writer that looks out for Minnie but it really annoyed me how she let herself be bossed around by Minnie. Later when I understood everything, it made more sense and I could be empathetic towards her. Minnie was really bratty and I disliked her but once her situation is reveal (trying not to give anything away), I was a little sympathetic but not by a lot. TJ was adorable and there was so much back story to him and Meg's relationship and how it ties into everything.

The idea of a party on an island with killer was so unique and creative and relevant, it was amazing! I think we've all heard of the haunted hotel, house, killer preying on young women, etc. But it really was the idea of this party with a killer and how everyone was suspicious that hooked me. And honestly, I don't regret it!

Oh dear gosh, please just go out and read this book before I have a breakdown because not enough people are reading it...Seriously. Just do me this one favor. Don't forget to comment and follow and stay amazing!
